A busy trading day with 11 trades placed on the markets. Loss of 0.7 points which is perfectly fine given the particularly good Saturday we had. The correction was inevitable.
One key takeaway today: Don't be indecisive in the markets - Don't trade with Fear
A particular moment to note is how a moment of FEAR cost a 1 PT profit, which means I would have finished the day with a profit of 0.3PT overall
I was eyeing the Lazio v Empoli game and all my criteria indicated there was a late goal in the second half
I got on the the Plus one goal market at great odds of 3.25 Odds and the goal went in a couple of minutes later, bringing in a wonderful profit as below
Now, I always go on the Plus 1.5 goal markets as well. The odds were sky high at 23 at the point of my entry. I, for no reason other some sort of fear given how good the price was, hesitated to enter the trade and decided to go with just 0.25 PT liability
BOOM! The goal goes in and the lay odds plummet to 3.8 (I missed taking a screenshot of the graph to show the spectacular drop!)
Anyways, below would have been my NET position after the goal, if I had followed my usual entry approach.
Oh well, Another day and another lesson in the unforgiving world of Betfair trading. The mindset really is the foundation of everything.
It is the international break so opportunities are likely to be scarce but below is the current status after our first proper trading week of this blog.
Cumulative status as at 6th October 2024
No of games traded: 28 from 1st October
NET: +3.2 pts (The P&L shows 3.5PTS because of some of the automation strategies which I am not tracking yet)
