So, proper football is back on and I used the international break to reflect on the results of the experiment
Whilst the rounds so far have been profitable, my match selection has been a mix of in-play only and pre-shortlisted matches. I have also made mistakes and been reckless at times
The first half selections in particular have been haphazard and the first half is just slightly over break even , even including some big wins.
The second half is faring well so far which is good news.
So my next mental challenge this week is to strictly trade the below:
2nd Half only
only matches shortlisted on my research tool which is Goalprofits.com
My previous strategy was ultra-aggressive, trading very late on in the second half which of course meant nice rewards but a fair bit of variance. I will now split my stake in 4, with a maximum of £20 liability per match (1 pt = £20)
TARGET is to trade 100 games or so with the above criteria and analyse my results thereafter. I expect a much higher strike rate of circa 75%, the big question will be the average win as I need this to be high enough to cover the £20 loss when I don't get a second half goal
This will be an interesting approach in comparison to my previous strategy which I have officially called "Last Orders Football Trading Strategy"
Anyways, cheesy football strategy names aside, I managed 25 trades with this new approach starting from 24th November (Sunday). So far, we are on a small loss of 0.99p. All going well, I should trade 100 matches by the end of the week (Sunday) to give us a proper feel for this approach, which I will call "Going for Seconds"
