Today was the start of Round 2 where we will aim to complete 200 Trades
Betfair trading is like a boxing match!
I love the analogy of each of these Betfair rounds in comparison to a boxing match. Some days I will take punches, get knocked out and others I may come out on top. At the end of each round, the simple judge is my P&L. If I am up on points, I win the round. If I am down, I lose.
I will break down today's post in 3 parts and keep this fairly short and sweet.
Summary of the day's manual trading:
17 manual trades placed
NET profit of £15.99
Above translates to circa 2.5 points (we are not trading at £6 for 1 pt which is the maximum risk on any given match selected). I place 2 x trades per match, with each 0.5 PT liability
How I colour-code my trade shortlists for the day
I use a well-known service called Goal Profits (no affiliation) for most of my shortlisting which isn't necessary but does save me a lot of research time. I also use BET365 and Soccerway, both great resources for research
Anyways, whichever research tools you pick, you need to find a way of identifying which are your first half picks and which are your second half picks (assuming you trade both halves). Some matches are suited to both and I colour code these as such.
I use a colour-scheme built into the Goal profits platform (example below)
Just a hint to share that I have found really handy, particularly so on busy weekends when my Shortlists could be 30 or 40 games.
It takes me 20 to 30 minutes the day before to get all the prep done so no one should really complain about that.
Tomorrow Saturday is a busy one - lets see how we go
Cheers!
Automation Update - early signs of improvement:
I have triple-refined the automation strategies and made them much more selective. I will observe over this current round. Early signs are good but too early to tell. Of course, I am keeping this at ultra low 10P stakes till there is clear evidence of an edge
